Health Walks Monday 12th July
Health walks are a great way to get your 30 minutes of exercise, whilst meeting new people. They can not only have positive impacts on your physical health but can help you to de-stress and take time out from work.
Will Heckford has just taken over the role of Physical Activity Officer at Daventry District Council. He is looking forward to working with the volunteer walk leaders to help enhance the health walk programme in the District. Will would like to encourage walkers who are enthusiastic about walking and would like to help make a difference in the community to take part in the walk leader training courses which run regularly. June 2010 Timetable
Meet at Daventry Leisure Centre Cafe every Wednesday at 12pm. The walk lasts approximately 30 minutes at an easy pace and people of all abilities and fitness are welcome. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes, preferably walking shoes. Stay for a coffee and a chat afterwards in the Leisure Centre Cafe.
Speciality Walks
Wednesday 29th June 2010 at 2pm
Harlestone Garden Centre- this walk will be led by Alison Bennett and will last approximately 60-90 minutes. Meet in the layby outside Harlestone Garden Centre and ensure you bring comfortable footwear preferably walking shoes.
